Not
surprising, a THIRD SUIT has been filed against the
Louisiana State Board of Private Investigators as of Feb
6, 2012.
I sincerely believe that there are people on the Louisiana
State Board of Private Investigator Examiners that think
they answer to no one. I formed this opinion from
my personal experience in the manner in which they
responded to my public records requests by really not
responding at all. In fact, in one particular
case, instead of complying with the requirement to
release documents, Pat Englade went to the extreme of
writing letters to the other providers suggesting they
file for a protective order to prevent him from
releasing the documents. Add that to the fact that
they suspended our company from providing CE without a
single complaint or any notice and you will begin to
question things too.
The
issue of Irv Magri is
extremely interesting and offers a confession letter
from the former chairman of the Louisiana State Board of
Private Examiners. It involves a claim that the
board did not receive four (4) separate letters
containing eight (8) checks to change the license status
of 2 licensed investigators from one company to another.
More interesting, the checks and envelopes were found
"stashed" (?) behind the state boards file cabinets, but
never the less, Mr. Magri was administratively fined by
the LSBPIE $3000.00 for a matter that they could have
resolved, had they only looked behind the file cabinets.
How they got there is within itself a mystery.
Read more about this on the link. Mr. Magri states that if it could happen
to him, it could easily happen to you. This
suit is still ongoing and we expect a court date soon.
Scott Franks issues
begun when a District Judge issued an opinion and filed
it in a divorce case saying that he believed Mr. Frank
has presented testimony that was not true. The
facts suggest that Pat Englade discovered this
information and then set about to investigate the matter
when there had been no official complaint from anyone in
the public. But what is most disturbing is that
along the way, evidence was provided to the board to
completely exonerate Mr. Frank of the original claim, as
it appears that the Judge might have been mistaken in
his belief. One would have expected the case to be
dismissed but they took it to a hearing anyway and the
results are mind boggling with a suit that extends on
and on.....take a look.
Mr.
Englade wrote Steve Divine
that he should take appropriate action if he felt that
he had been done wrong. That was good advice and
resulted in the suit filed on Feb 6, 2012
The Documents presented are public records and there
will be no additional comments relative to the suit
until after we go to trial.
I
sincerely believe that there has to be a better way to
protect the Citizens of Louisiana and hope that you will
join with me in support of a new law to change the way
that private investigators are regulated.
One can't help but make
comparisons to the suit that Eddie Mauri filed in 1998
for Civil Rights and settled for $50,000.00.
SEE THAT SUIT HERE
Interesting...two people* that were sued in that action
are also included in this action. Why is it that
intelligent people continue to do the same thing over
and over and expect different results? * John
Mowell
* Bruce Childers
In this short video, They attempt to
explain the prior $50,000 lawsuit as well
as why they have over $19,000 in uncollected fines.
Watch this and see if Mr. Englade is
operating within his legislative authority.
